Staying true to its mind numbingly cool roots, Street Feast is getting involved in a pop-up festival this spring, turning a disused Haggerston office block into a three-storey bar, restaurant and music venue…. called Fairground!
It’s the brainchild of Street Feast founder Dominic Cools-Lartigue (HIS NAME IS COOLS). Mr Cools reckons it’ll be a “unique festival experience showcasing the best of the capital”. With plenty of scrumptious street food and MANY PAIRS OF SKINNY JEANS.
Fairground is open for 10 weekends, with each level offering a different experience from a live music venue to a top floor restaurant.
Level one hosts Fairground Live, featuring the venue’s main bar and events space. Saturdays see takeovers by the likes of Run Dem Crew and Field Day while Sundays host performances by a mix of emerging and established artists.
The Granddad Lounge is on level two and is hosting a programme of speakers, workshops and masterclasses.
Occupying the top floor is the Fairground Diner, a restaurant offering views across East London with plans to host a series of pop-ups from London chefs lasting from a weekend up to a month.
Traders from Street Feast are also taking space across the other two floors including the likes of Yum Bun and Baba G.
The Grandaad Lounge features speakers including the English Disco Lovers, who’ll be explaining how to start a movement, and a silent cinema.
Fairground is NOW OPEN!
Saturdays from 10am to 3am and Sundays from 10am to midnight.
