Barts Bar’s Chelsea Flower Show Cocktail

This year’s Chelsea Flower Show is already causing quite a stir, but it won’t all be about precious plants this year, because top secret speakeasy Barts Bar is getting in on the action,  launching a new cocktail in homage to the show.

Meet the Chinese Lantern!

Available from 20th -24th May the ‘Chinese Lantern’ cocktail will be a heady blend of home-made Hibiscus flower and Rose jam infused Tanqueray Malacca, apple juice, lime juice, egg white and sugar syrup. The cocktail will then be served in the perfect summer garden accessory, a giant, glowing Chinese Lantern, filled with Violet Essence!

This most unusual of bars is known for its eccentricity, so for the duration of the show guests will also be able to visit their famous dressing up box, which will have a new ‘blooming marvellous’ theme – perfect for those looking to indulge their love of  ‘Flower Power’ – we have been promised hippy flares, wings and accessories fit for flower fairies.

Guests will also be able to sit outside in the Barts Cuban garden, which, just like the flower show itself, is filled with lush foliage and exotic plants.

About Barts:

Barts was opened five years ago and is London’s first ‘speakeasy’ style bar located on the prestigious Sloane Avenue. It is the brainchild of Duncan Stirling and Charlie Gilkes, the dynamic duo that own the Inception Group that also comprises of the highly successful 80’s themed nightclub, Maggie’s and an Englishman’s Italian, Bar, Pizzeria and Karaoke, Bunga Bunga in Battersea.

This summer they will also be launching Mr Fogg’s in Mayfair, a recreation of the actual home of Jules Verne’s most famous adventurer, Phileas Fogg, as well as a Disco, an underground boîte in Soho, inspired by the disco movement, which started in 1970s Manhattan. This summer they will launch Cocobananas, a nightclub based on a Brazilian beach party and Beaver Lodge, a cabin bar and dance saloon based on the winter cowboy log cabins found in Wyoming.
