Calling all wine drinkers, wine snobs, wannabe wine snobs and alcoholics! London Wine Week is almost upon us, so it’s time to get yourself a wristband for the drunkest (and most sophisticated) week of the year.

This seven day celebration of the capital’s wine scene has been created to give wine-curious Londoners the opportunity to taste, learn about, and enjoy premium wines by the glass in some of the capital’s very best bars and restaurants. For a little less than you might have expected…

MEET THE MAKER WITH GONZALEZ BYASS

Bread Street Kitchen’s Meet the Maker session will be hosted with Gonzalez Byass famous for their incredible sherries. The BSK team will be creating a bespoke three-cocktail menu with a selection of paired sharing platters, and inviting the maker to join them for the evening, giving you the opportunity to find out a little more about their range whilst sampling them in a relaxed and casual setting.

 

TEST YOUR TASTE WITH A GRAPE NIGHT IN

On Monday 2 June join A Grape Night In at Harvey Nichols for an interactive night of wine tastings to challenge your palate and a chance to test your knowledge with a wine quiz.

Tickets price includes drinks and a three course dinner.

 

VINA POMAL TASTING EVENING

 Visit the centrally located Pall Mall Fine Wine (close by to Piccadilly Circus) which offers an enviable treasure trove of wines. On Monday 2nd June, experience a Winemaker Tasting evening hosted by Viña Pomal winemaker, Alejandro Lopez Garcia.

JUNE DINNER PARTY

Much-loved Sartoria Head Sommelier, Michael Simms is launching a new series of‘dinner parties on Monday 2nd June, to coincide with the start of London Wine Week.

Michael, who is one of London’s most experienced sommeliers, has selected six very interesting wines to pair with the specially created menu for the evening and will discuss them and the food pairings in his own inimitable style, in what promises to be a wonderfully entertaining evening.

The ticket price includes a glass of the Champagne with nibbles, and there will be the opportunity for a tasting session with the winegrower, Arnaud Berthelot.
