Despite what its name might suggest, Supersize vs Superskinny is sadly not a televised fight to the death featuring one fat and one thin gladiator. It is, in fact, an even odder sort of programme in which two people with astoundingly terrible diets swap terrible diets, and then spend some time crying in an immaculate white house.
There are lessons to be learned from it, however. Lessons which must be learned.

There’s a bit of a hoo-har going on about the Winter Olympics currently, because it seems the powers that be have decided to host it in a sort of James Bond style danger-land, complete with bloodthirsty gangs straight out of Hostel and actual terrorist attacks.
It’s easy to see why the Winter Olympics is being held in this petrifying freezer of doom, though, because if it wasn’t we probably wouldn’t have noticed it happening at all.

January arrived, and the days were bleak with diets, rain and the subtle scent of decaying Christmas trees. “What we need,” shouted the people, ‘is a Channel 4 freak show!”
Gogglebox, a programme with the incredibly dull premise of ‘watching other people watch TV’ burst onto our screens at the end of 2013 and proved, against all odds, to be the finest programme ever shown. You see, there’s something bizarrely interesting about watching people who are not you watching something which you watched only days earlier. It’s like INCEPTION.
It’s the watchers, though, that make Gogglebox. So let’s meet them.
Secret Eaters is the best thing to happen to British television since that bit in You Are What You Eat where the wizened old pretend doctor called Gillian used to confront fat people with grossly enlarged versions of their favourite pastry snacks.
